Rajasthan Police form documents under 500 KB

Rajasthan Police recruitment forms ask for several certificates, and each upload has to stay under 500 KB. That sounds generous until you photograph a domicile certificate with a modern phone and get a 4 MB file, or scan a two-page caste certificate at a copy shop that defaults to 600 DPI colour. KBcut shrinks them on your phone, keeps the Hindi text and the tehsildar's seal readable, and tells you the final size before you open the form.

What the Rajasthan Police recruitment upload checks

Caps on this page follow published portal guidance and commonly reported limits as of September 2026. The portal's own notice or on-screen error always wins — type its number into the cap box if it differs.

Why a generic compressor gets this wrong

500 KB is enough that you rarely need to sacrifice quality — the problem is only that phone photos and colour scans start far above it. KBcut starts at 300 DPI and only steps down as far as needed, which for a one-page certificate usually means it stays at a high resolution with Colour on. That matters for Hindi documents in particular: the small matras and the conjunct letters are the first detail lost when a compressor is too aggressive, and a verifying officer who cannot read the name on a caste certificate will not guess.

How to do it

  1. Select the certificate PDF or a flat, well-lit photo of it.
  2. Keep the cap at 500 KB and Colour on. Greyscale is fine for plain printed marksheets.
  3. Press Cut to size, zoom into the Hindi text in the preview, then download and upload.

Questions

Is the limit exactly 500 KB?

It is the cap reported for recent cycles. The notification and the form screen for your recruitment are the authority — type their number if it differs.

My certificate has a photo pasted on it.

Keep Colour or Greyscale. Black & white turns photos into harsh dots.

Other Rajasthan recruitments?

RSMSSB and RPSC forms use similar caps for documents. Change the number in the cap box.

Do I need internet?

Only to open this page. After it loads, compression runs offline on your phone.

Can I do this at an e-Mitra or cyber café computer?

Yes. KBcut needs no login and keeps no copy. The finished file lands in that computer's Downloads folder, so delete it after you upload.
