Terms of Use

Updated 14 September 2026 · applies to fabxlabs.com, every FABX tool and brand (including ExamPic and KBcut), the FABX PDF Toolkit and the FABX connector at mcp.fabxlabs.com

The short version: these are free, experimental tools for personal use. They can be wrong. Nothing here is official. Check every file against your official notification before you submit it — that responsibility stays with you.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By using fabxlabs.com, any FABX tool or the FABX connector ("the services") you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, and we ask you to confirm this by ticking the box on the notice shown on your first visit. If you do not agree, do not use the services. If you are under 18, use the services only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.

2. Experimental tools

FABX tools are experimental and under active development. They may contain errors, produce incorrect files, change how they work, or be withdrawn at any time without notice. We do not promise that any tool will be available, will keep working in the same way, or will work with any particular device, browser or file.

3. Personal use only

We give you a free, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use the free tools for personal use. Personal use includes preparing your own forms, applications, returns and filings, and helping a family member, friend or client prepare theirs.

You may not, without our written permission:

Offline, office, team, API or other commercial-scale use needs a separate paid licence when one is offered.

4. Not official, not affiliated

FABX Labs is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by or acting for any government, ministry, department, regulator, exam or recruitment body, bank or portal — including the National Testing Agency, UPSC, SSC, IBPS, SBI, the Railway Recruitment Boards, state public service commissions, UIDAI, GSTN, the Income Tax Department, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, EPFO, the National Scholarship Portal, PM-KISAN or Passport Seva. Names of exams, portals, schemes and organisations are used only to describe what a tool is for, and belong to their owners. Our tools are not the official way to apply for anything.

5. Sizes and rules can be wrong

Pixel sizes, KB and MB limits, formats, deadlines and rules shown on the site are compiled from public notices and commonly published guidance. They may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and they are not official guidance. The official notification, the portal's own instructions and its error messages always take priority. Several specs are marked on the site as consensus rather than confirmed.

6. You check the output

You are responsible for checking every file a tool produces — its size, dimensions, format, content and legibility — before you upload, file, send or rely on it, and for meeting every deadline. We are not responsible for a rejected, delayed or cancelled application, form, return or filing, a missed deadline, lost fees, penalties, or any decision made by a portal, examiner or authority.

7. Honest and lawful use

Use the services only on files you own or are authorised to handle. You must not use them to:

The tools only clean, resize, compress, convert and arrange files you provide. They never generate signatures, thumb impressions or handwriting. What you upload anywhere remains your responsibility.

8. Not professional advice

Information about tax, GST, company filings, scholarships, exams, identity documents or legal papers is general information only. It is not legal, tax, financial, accounting or career advice. Speak to a qualified professional for advice on your situation.

9. Your files

Your files remain yours. The browser tools process files on your own device, and we never receive them. The FABX connector processes files on our servers only to return a result, and deletes them within one hour — do not send it files you are not entitled to share. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

10. No warranty

The services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, acceptance by any portal, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted, secure or error-free operation — to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FABX Labs, the Fab Group and their owners, team and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss, or for any loss of data, admission, employment, opportunity, fees, penalties, profits or goodwill, arising from or connected with the services or their content — even if we were told such loss was possible.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims about the services is limited to ₹1,000, or the amount you paid us for the relevant service in the 12 months before the claim, if that is higher. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

12. Responsibility for misuse

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate FABX Labs for claims, losses and reasonable costs that arise from your misuse of the services or your breach of these terms.

13. Other services and links

The services use open-source components (including pdf-lib, PDF.js and JSZip) under their own licences, and rely on providers such as Cloudflare and Google. Links to government portals and other websites are for convenience; we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.

14. Paid features

When paid tiers are offered, the price, what is included and the refund policy will be stated on the purchase page, and those terms will apply in addition to these.

15. Intellectual property

FABX, ExamPic, KBcut, the FX mark, the site's text, design and compiled size specifications, and the tools themselves belong to the Fab Group. These terms do not give you any right to use them except as allowed in section 3.

16. Changes, suspension and ending

We may change these terms by updating this page and the date at the top; continuing to use the services after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or block access to anyone who misuses the services or breaks these terms, and we may change or stop any service at any time.

17. Law, disputes and severability

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have jurisdiction. Before starting any formal dispute, please write to us so we can try to resolve it within 30 days. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

18. Grievances and contact

For a complaint or grievance about the services or these terms, email [email protected] with "Grievance" in the subject. We aim to acknowledge within 3 working days and to respond within 30 days.
